Dyeing
After studying at Wimbledon for Foundation and Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee for her Textile Design Degree, she spent a small amount of time in Glasgow before heading back down to London to seek more permanent work in the theatre industry. For two years she costume supervised and designed for productions at the Charles Cryer Theatre Carshalton and Out of the Blue Productions. Dressing for the Snowman and the RSC was quickly followed by a post as assistant dyer at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. After 5 years in this post, English National Ballet took her on as their dyer's maternity cover for a year and then The Royal Opera House did the same for another year. Now freelancing and dyeing at many companies in London and the South East as well as Birmingham Royal Ballet and covering for the Head of the Dye Dept at the RSC for a year, Jennifer is self employed and has refined her skills in colour matching, painting, printing by screen or digitally and breaking down/distressing.
